Morning Run

There's something very serene and peaceful about most mornings. Nobody's awake, the sun is just coming up, and things are calm (again, on most mornings). This morning was one of those mornings. I got up at 7:45 and did not want to run. I thought it would be freezing cold out, so I told myself I wasn't going to run. I got up to check the temperature, and it was only -5 Celsius, so I decided that I should go. I got out and it was beautiful. There was a slight head wind in my 2.5 miles out, but the way back was great. The roads were clear and I felt like I was able to actually run (and not tiptoe on the snow) for the first time in a long time. On my way out, the sun started to come up and the clouds had tinges of deep red (I wish I had my camera or an iphone to take a picture of it). I was really nice. I love mornings like this morning. I wish every morning were like this My 5 miles flew by, and before I knew it I was home.
